Publisher & Investor
Nurse turned publisher and investor.
Norah Casey grew up in Dublin and showed curiosity and drive from an early age. She trained as a nurse, which gave her a strong foundation in discipline, empathy, and understanding people. Her career took an unexpected turn when she moved into publishing and business, demonstrating that the path you start on does not have to be the path you finish on. Her education taught her that skills learned in one field can be powerful tools in a completely different one.
Norah built a career in magazine publishing and became one of Ireland's most recognised media figures, eventually becoming a prominent investor and television personality, including appearances on Dragon's Den Ireland. She experienced serious personal challenges, including the loss of her husband, yet continued to lead her businesses and speak publicly about resilience. She grew Harmonia, one of Ireland's leading magazine publishers, into a major media company. Her willingness to step into new roles and take calculated risks turned her into a respected voice in Irish business.
Norah's story shows that your Leaving Cert results or your first career choice do not define your ceiling — what matters is your willingness to keep learning and adapt. If you are curious, hardworking, and open to change, you can build something remarkable from almost any starting point.
