Learn sean-nós dancing at a workshop

"What if your feet learned the oldest steps in the country?"

Why this is so fun

There is something quietly wild about learning steps that were danced in kitchens and at crossroads long before anyone thought to write them down. Sean-nós is nothing like the rigid lines you might expect from Irish dancing — it is personal, improvised, almost conversational with the floor. You will wobble, laugh, and suddenly feel a rhythm click into place in your body that you did not know was there. At a Willie Clancy week session in Clare, surrounded by fiddles and total strangers, that click feels like belonging to something much bigger than yourself.

Someone who did this

Barry (22), Ballina — works in a timber yard, obsessed with GAA statistics

I only went because my cousin Declan signed us both up and then pulled out the week before with a bad knee, which I'm still not sure was real.
